“Thank you! It looks great!!” – Jacquelyn R., Real Estate Attorney
Situation when Client came to us: Client came to us with a non-mobile responsive website that had broken links/images and was running on an outdated platform (see ‘Before’ screenshot below). The client wanted to give the site a facelift, incorporating a more modern design and, even more importantly, wanted it to function properly on all mobile devices. Google stated as of May 2015 that there were more searches from mobile devices than desktop, and this was of utmost awareness to us during this build. Moreso, Google has also stated any non-mobile friendly sites are now being penalized in the search results… not good if you have a non-mobile friendly website and are looking to rank highly in the search engines to drive more potential customers to your business.
Methods and Results: First, we discussed with the client what main key points they needed in the build. This included keeping the Facebook feed integrated into the Home page and collaborating on some new image work throughout the site. With an emphasis on designing for mobile devices, I knew we’d want to incorporate a ‘click-to-call’ button when viewing the site from a cell phone. The client already had sound content on their current site, so that sped up the redesign time. After a few mockups/rough drafts were sent, we landed on a design we were both happy with – and that functions great both on desktop and mobile! (see ‘After’ screenshot below)
Tracking – Analytics and reporting: Included in the site redesign package, we set the client up with Google Analytics and integrated it into the new website. Now, the client is able to see tangible statistics and data gathered in real time (see Analytics screenshots below) to track overall effectiveness and progress of their website. Don’t just guess where people are coming to your site from, know! We value transparency and believe the more data we can provide to the client the better. We send each client an End of the Month Report email that includes this Google Analytics data, time tracking of our efforts and tasks, and a link to view your live keyword rank tracking and progress.
Takeaways: This client took advantage of our ‘Micro’ plan program, getting this new website redesign and tracking for $499… Just a month or two after this project was complete the client was already referring our services to friends, “Zachary, Ben did a great job with my website as you can see 🙂 I hope you both can connect and discuss potentially working together.” -Jacquelyn R.
